SOCCEROO skipper Lucas Neill is the latest high profile footballer reported to have been robbed in the UK when thieves struck while he was at home.
The newly-signed Everton defender is said to have become the latest victim when robbers sneaked into his home and nicked items including his car keys to steal his car, which was later recovered by police.
The theft comes just weeks after fellow Roo and Blackburn Rovers star Vince Grella was robbed at knifepoint in his home. They stole cash and jewellery before making off in his BMW.
Almost 30 attacks on Premiership players have been reported recently, although most have been while players have been away from home playing in high profile games.
Most of the thefts have occurred in the north-west region of England in the Liverpool and Manchester area, although a dozen have also happened in London and Essex.
