The 27-year-old Espanyol forward has been linked with a move to Spurs and Portuguese outfit Benfica but claims he has not been given any details.

He told www.sport.es: "The reports are rumours, because I don't know anything.

"I've left that clear in the past few days. I have been tranquil, because in the holidays I forget football and I was only thinking about relaxing. I have only heard about this through the press and I don't know anything."

Luis Garcia admits the likelihood is he will leave for pastures new, but would do so with a heavy heart.

"It seems that there will be a transfer," he said. "The interest is flattering because it means that you have done the work well and people have faith in you. But I don't know anything about all this.

"I have a contract until 2012. If I have to go, the first one who's going to look for the good of the club will be me. I have felt very loved and am very proud of the club."

Club president Daniel Sanchez Llibre has got used to his players being touted in the press with moves away from the Barcelona club, but insists no offer has been made for Luis Garcia.

"It's been commented a lot these past few days, but the club have not received any offer for the player," he said.

"We have not talked to anyone and, in my opinion, the only offer that is worth anything is when a club gets in direct contact with us.

"If everything that appeared in the press was true then all the squad would practically have been sold."
