PROMISING Australian teenager Massimo Luongo has revealed he is ready to leave Tottenham Hotspur to join Ipswich Town on a season-long loan.
Luongo travelled to Suffolk on Monday and is expected to sign with the Championship club in the next 24 hours.
The 19-year-old Sydney-born midfielder tweeted on Monday: "Starting this trek to ipswich!"
Ipswich and Tottenham have links with several players previously sent on loan between the clubs, with Luongo set to be the latest.
The Australia youth international has only made one first-team appearance for Spurs, coming as a substitute in last season's Carling Cup against Stoke City where he missed a crucial penalty in the shootout.
