Socceroo Massimo Luongo has maintained his strong club form with a decisive assist in QPR’s 1-0 win over Bristol City in England’s Championship overnight.
Luongo helped QPR go five games unbeaten and move up to ninth, setting up Idrissa Sylla for the 75th minute winner.
The 24-year-old received the ball on the right from Tjarron Chery, before his fine cross picked out Sylla in the box, with the Guinean striker sliding home.
Luongo, who has been in excellent form at club level, was dangerous throughout, combining particularly well with Chery in midfield.
In the 22nd minute, Luongo burst into the box in a fine run only to be denied, while early in the second half, the Australian set up Chery for a good chance.
