Socceroo Massimo Luongo is predicting a strong season for QPR after a noticeable bump in team morale.
Luongo said the Rangers suffered a post-relegation hangover last year after being dumped out of the Premier League.
Now the Australian is hopeful the new sense of belief also translates to his own game, after he endured a rollercoaster season under three coaches.
Nothing better then starting our season off with a win at home. 3 points and a great performance. The support again was amazing. #QPRFC 🔵⚪️

Luongo told Get West London: “Last year was difficult because a lot of the boys had come down from the Premier League. The season before prior to that the team hadn’t won a lot of games either - there was a clear lack of confidence in the squad.
“You could see from the squad they were sick of losing and we didn’t have that spark, but this year it’s completely different. The way we played against Watford and obviously Leeds gives us a real lift and something to build on.”
He added of his form last season: “I played in a few positions and never really had the opportunity to settle into any given one. I was playing as a No10 and running in behind when Chris Ramsey was in charge.
“The new manager (Neil Warnock) then came in and I didn’t really play, so I had to work really hard to get back into the squad.” Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink took over the reins in December.
“You’ve got to put aside your personal goals at time and just do what you need to do to get into the team. That’s what I had to do most of last season. I didn’t have the composure and consistency to my game last year, nor did the team.
"I sense we have that now though, so that’s a big thing for me on a personal level and the team and hopefully we can all push on and be successful.”
QPR are on the road against Cardiff on Sunday.
