Awer Mabil scored one goal and set up two others as Esbjerg defeated SonderjyskE 3-0 upon the resumption of the Danish Superliga overnight.
The 21-year-old winger produced a Player of the Match display which will have parent club Midtjylland impressed.
Mabil flashed a shot wide early in the first half, before his back-heel created space for Robin Soder to curl home inside the box on 54 minutes.
The former Adelaide United man made it 2-0 on 81 minutes, ghosting in at the far post to slide home Konstantinos Tsimikas’ low cross.
Mabil played his part on a swift counter-attack, with a well-weighted throughball for Tsimikas to power home on 85 minutes.
Fellow Australian Brent McGrath played a full game up front as Esbjerg moves away from relegation in 12th.
Meanwhile in Germany’s 2.Bundesliga, Mitchell Langerak played a full 90 minutes as Stuttgart won 2-1 away to Ben Halloran’s Heidenheim.

Halloran was absent for Heidenheim.
In Turkey’s Super Lig, Aziz Behich was suspended after accumulating four yellow cards as Bursaspor lost 2-0 to Kayserispor.
