Brisbane Roar have finished bottom of Group E in the AFC Champions League after two defensive blunders led to a 3-2 loss to Ulsan Hyundai at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night.
Jamie Maclaren, who is expected to head to Europe in the off-season, hit a double to give Brisbane a 2-1 half-time lead but the Koreans fought back to claim victory.
Ulsan went ahead after nine minutes courtesy of a calamitous Jamie Young own goal from a tame shot at the back post, before Maclaren hit back with strikes on 18 and 37 minutes.
Maclaren, first, converted Germany-bound Brandon Borrello's cross at the back post, before the same pair combined, with the Socceroo converting when in one-on-one.
Nam Hee-Cheol put Ulsan ahead on 54 minutes after Tommy Oar's forgettable backpass.
Kim Yong-Jin poked home from a set-piece to clinch the 75th minute winner.
The result means Ulsan finish third in Group E, three points ahead of Brisbane.
