Maclaren (32') opened the scoring and substitue Brandon Borrello (75') sealed the win after Glory's Nebojsa Marinkovic (54') belted home the equaliser.

Roar had the better of the attack in the first half - former Socceroo Brett Holman influential - but missed some golden chances before finding the breakthrough.

Corey Brown laid on a perfect cross for Maclaren, who outpaced the Glory defence to reach the ball and fire it into the back of the net to bring up his first for the season.

The omens were good for the A-League's top Aussie hitman of last season, who had never gone four matches for Roar without scoring.

In another blow for Glory in the opening half a head clash between Rostyn Griffiths and Holman saw the Perth skipper withdrawn on 25 minutes.

Griffiths, who seemed to have inflamed an earlier neck complaint, was taken to hospital to repair a chipped front tooth.

As Glory's sin-binned coach Kenny Lowe watched from the stands, the visitors turned it on in the second half.

Just 10 minutes in Diego Castro found Rhys Williams who disguised his pass to Marinkovic -  the Serbian curling an unstoppable strike inside the far post.

But John Aloisi's men hadn't finished yet and this time it was Maclaren the provider, as Borrello tore through the Glory defence before firing past goalkeeper Liam Reddy and into the bottom corner.

The result ends Glory's unbeaten run, while Roar move equal on points with third-placed Perth. Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix are still to play
