Perth-born Madaschi, 28, is out of contract at Portogruaro and was linked with Adelaide United a fortnight ago.

The five-times Socceroo, who will get married in Italy on Friday, told au.fourfourtwo.com that he's unsure of where his future may be.

“Where to from here? I am not 100 per cent sure right now but I'm looking into a few things here in Italy,” said Madaschi, who has also spent time at Grosseto, Partick Thistle, Dundee and Atalanta Bergamo.

“Moving across the continent would be a good change and even towards Asia could be a possibility.

“Coming back to Australia is something I have thought about as well, and I would look into something seriously given the right offer and project.”

Madaschi, who last played for Australia in the 3-0 friendly win over Ireland in August 2009, admitted he still held ambitions of wearing the green and gold again and said that'd play a part in his decision on his future.

“It's about choosing the right opportunity to progress, improve and try to move to better things and get back into the Socceroos set up and impress the new coach,” said Madaschi.

Madaschi was a regular for Portogruaro during their 2010-11 Serie B campaign making 35 appearances, having helped the club win promotion the season prior.

However, the Australian left-sided defender, who has been with Portogruaro since 2006, was unable to prevent his side suffering relegation as they lost seven of their last eight league matches.

“It was disappointing to finish the way things did because we all believed that we could avoid relegation a month before the end of the season,” said Madaschi.

“Obviously things went the way they went and I was unhappy I couldn't give my bit for the last two games because I pulled my calf muscle against Pescara and that finished my season.”
