FEYENOORD striker Roy Makaay will be in the Holland squad at the Beijing Olympics after his club failed to qualify for the Champions League preliminary round.
The Rotterdam side finished sixth in the Eredivisie, ruling them out of qualification for the play-offs, which allows Makaay to be one of the over-age players in the squad.
Holland coach Foppe de Haan told KNVB TV: "Now that Feyenoord will not play a pre-round for the Champions League, Makaay will travel with us to China. That was what we agreed earlier.
"He mustn't get injured. But he's a strong guy so I think that is all taken care of."
Holland face the United States, Japan and Nigeria in their group at the Games in August.
