Roberto Mancini is set to plead guilty to improper conduct when he faces an FA disciplinary hearing next week.
The Manchester City manager is due before the FA on April 6 and seems almost certain to escape with a fine at worst for his touchline spat with Everton counterpart David Moyes at Eastlands last week.
The pair were involved in an angry confrontation as Mancini tried to wrestle the ball free so he could get the game under way again towards the end of his side's 2-0 defeat.
Mancini continued the row and eventually referee Peter Walton sent both men to the stands.
However, as Moyes indicated afterwards, the pair shook hands after the final whistle.
Moyes was reminded of his responsibilities to the game last week and Mancini is ready to accept what is likely to be a mild rebuke given he has never previously been in trouble.
"I will accept the charge. I won't fight it," said Mancini. "It is important for me to stay calm but I always want to win. Every team is under pressure in the last few games.
"We had five minutes left against Everton and I wanted to get the ball. That is all I did.
"After the game I had a drink with David Moyes. There were no problems."
