SYDNEY teenager Aidan D'Arcy is the latest young Australian to try his luck in Europe after securing a deal with English club Huddersfield Town.
The 17-year-old left-back, who has been playing with Manly United, has signed a scholarship deal with Huddersfield to be part of their academy.
Huddersfield's academy manager Graham Mitchell told the club's website: "Aidan has been on trial with us for the best part of five months now and signing him up has been quite a drawn-out process due to the nature of gaining international clearance, but we have finally managed to complete the formalities.
"He first came to our attention during Manly's tour of England back in 2007, but his father has recently moved to England for work reasons and that gave us the opportunity to offer him a trial.
"He has done very well during his trial period and now we have given him the opportunity to become a professional at Huddersfield Town if he makes the grade."
