Diego Maradona's health is improving, according to a new medical report.
Doctors at Los Arcos hospital in Buenos Aires released a statement which read: "The development in his health is favourable.
"Even though the biochemical results are not normal, there is a tendency towards recovery.
"The goal of the medical staff treating the patient is to consolidate the treatment to help his family continue it once he is at home."
Maradona was re-admitted to hospital on Friday suffering from severe abdominal pains, two days after being discharged from Guemes hospital where he was treated for hepatitis brought on by alcohol poisoning.
