Qatar Sports Club have completed the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder Marcinho.
The announcement comes 10 days after Al Jazira had claimed Marcinho would be joining them next season and that he had agreed a three-year contract with the 2007 United Arab Emirates FA Cup champions.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who will join Qatar SC from Brazilian giants Flamengo, told a press conference he had only received an offer from Al Jazira and that he did not sign with them.
"I received a lot of offers in Brazil and an offer from Al Jazira of UAE but Qatar SC's offer was better and I decided to sign for them as I was convinced that their offer is the best," said Marcinho.
"I'm happy to sign for Qatar SC and I hope that I can have many good performances with them."
