Heward-Belle approached the club and requested to be released from his Hyundai A-League contract that was set to expire at the end of this season and that request has been granted.

The young shot stopper wishes to spend more time in Sydney to focus on his university studies and thanked the Central Coast Mariners for his opportunity.

“It's been a really tough decision to make and I will always have the Mariners in my heart as the first club that I made my Hyundai A-League debut,” Howard-Belle said.

“I have experienced great memories with an amazing group of people and very supportive fans.

“The Mariners have helped me grow as a person and I can’t thank them enough for that.

“I wish the team all the best for this season and I am sure that the way they are going they will experience great success.”
