BRISBANE Roar marquee Craig Moore is expected to confirm his exit from the club this afternoon after reportedly falling out with coach Ange Postecoglou.
Moore has been the club's talisman in defence since joining from Newcastle United, then in the Engish Premiership.
But after the departure of Frank Farina and arrival of Postecoglou who is determined to focus on youth, the club has already seen the departure of key playmaker Charlie Miller and glovesman Liam Reddy,
Now Moore is expected to join the exodus out of Suncorp with the club set to confirm his exit later today after a furious row with management over the new coach's current direction.
Moore is currently training with the Socceroos in Dubai and had been expected to join a European club on loan in January in a bid to stay fit for the World Cup.
Now though the move away from Roar at least will become permanent.
Moore was refusing to discuss the situation in the Middle East and was instead staying focused on the upcoming Asian Cup qualifier match against Kuwait next week.
But a club source admitted a statement confirming his exit was likely later today.
Postecoglou had earlier dropped a heavy hint that further surgery was needed before the club can really push for success.
"If we want to bring major success to the club like winning a grand final or making it into Asia we need to start doing things a little bit differently," he told brisbaneroar.com.au.
"We're desperate to get some really hungry players here who want to win things, not just get a contract with the Roar because it's a good club, but actually want to win things.
"That's the area we're probably working hardest in at the moment is our recruiting, to make sure we get it right."
