Adelaide United's Marrone, 23, signed for Fury late last season in a coup for then-manager Ian Ferguson.

It was hoped his combination with the likes of David Williams and Ufuk Talay would be a huge boost for the club's season two campaign.

However, with Fury's ownership change last month, all existing contracts were ripped up as the new consortium sought to start afresh.

The ructions left the versatile midfielder in limbo but au.fourfourtwo.com understands his patience has worn thin and an announcement on Marrone's new club is imminent.

Marrone's former club Adelaide are still hopeful of re-signing him but it's understood his agent Ritchie Hinton of Elite Sports Properties has been fielding interest from other A-League clubs.

Marrone was called up to Pim Verbeek's Indonesia squad in March emphasising the view that Marrone's future is bright.

Fury's roster is in flux with key players exiting the club or being released.  Those who've left include Shane Stefanutto, Rostyn Griffiths, Matt Smith, Scott Wilson and Jeremy Brockie while marquee man Robbie Fowler has been heavily linked to Sydney FC and Perth Glory.

So far Fury have just eight players on their roster: Justin Pasfield, Jack Hingert, Jason Spagnuolo, Osama Malik, Chris Grossman, Ufuk Talay, Dyron Daal and David Williams.
