Captain Javier Mascherano admits Argentina must face the World Cup qualifier against Venezuela on Saturday with "seriousness and attitude" to improve their home form.
Argentina have won just one of their last three qualifiers at home but Mascherano is sure the arrival of Diego Maradona as coach will make a difference tomorrow at Estadio Monumental.
"We have to have seriousness and attitude as well as responsibility to do important things on the field," the Liverpool midfielder said.
"We should repeat the 30 minutes we had in the Scotland friendly and the good football we played against France.
"We had very difficult matches against Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay. That's why we must prove the union of this group on the field."
Javier Zanetti believes Argentina should adopt a patient attitude on Saturday.
"We should not make the mistake of trying to be ahead in the fifth minute. The match lasts 90 and we have to be patient, not underestimate Venezuela and try to sort the match out," the Inter Milan captain told TyC Sports.
