North Queensland have been left without their coach and assistant for Friday's clash with Perth after Straka was handed his ban by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) match review panel on Monday.

A furious Straka was incensed when his side wasn't given a penalty, leading to a confrontation between himself and the fourth official during the Fury's last-minute 3-2 loss to Central Coast.

Television footage showed Straka man-handling fourth official Kris Griffiths-Jones just before half-time.

FFA found Straka was in breach of their national code of conduct in handing him the suspension, while also adding a one-game suspended sentence to ensure it doesn't happen again.

The club's operations manager Robbie Middleby may have to step into the field coaching role on Friday night as the club has already suspended assistant Stuart McLaren for two games following a post-game outburst against referee Kurt Ams.

North Queensland, though, have already stated their intention to appeal the sentence.

Meanwhile, Melbourne Heart star Gerald Sibon faces two games on the sidelines after an incident in last week's derby against the Victory.

The Heart may have won the first derby clash between the city rivals but it's come at a cost.

Dutchman Sibon roughly challenged Grant Brebner in the 54th minute of the game at AAMI Park and as he went unpunished at the time by referee Ben Williams, the MRP has stepped in.

"The MRP found that Gerald Sibon had committed an offence, namely 'Assault on a Player (e.g. violent conduct when not challenging for the ball)' against Grant Brebner and proposed a sanction of two matches," said an FFA statement.
