Matildas midfielder Emily Van Egmond won't be playing the W-League next year after announcing she won't return to Newcastle Jets
Van Egmond debuted for Newcastle in 2008 at the age of 15 and has sinc eplayed over 50 matches for the Hunter side.
She has since frown into a stalwart for the Matildas, earning 90 caps for Australia.
"This is my hometown club, and i couldn't be more appreciative of everything that Newcastle has done for me," Van Egmond told Newcastle Jets.
"Being a Newcastle girl, it's been a privilege to play in Jets colours for as much of my career as i have with such a good group of girls and i'd like to wish them the best of luck for the upcoming season."
Van Egmond is currently on the books of Orlando pride in the NWSL alongside fellow Matilda Alanna Kennedy.
Her season was cut short earlier this year after sufferering an ankle injury that required surgery.
Van Egmond will be out of action for the remainder of the year but a return is likely in early to mid 2020.
