Following four intensive camps at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, Westfield Matildas coach Tom Sermanni has reduced his 34 player squad down to 26 players for this camp before selecting his final 21 player list for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 at the end of the month.

Sermanni will be carefully observing his team during the camp including their two match Trans-Tasman series against the Football Ferns before having to reduce the squad prior to the team’s final Australian training camp in June.

With star striker Kate Gill now unavailable for World Cup selection following surgery on her Anterior Cruciate Ligament last week the final places for the Westfield Matildas squad will be fiercely contested over the next seven days in Gosford from 9-16 May.

The May 12 clash will be played behind closed doors but tickets for the May 15 match at Bluetongue Stadium are on sale now and available through Ticketek.
