The Matildas will make a public appearance at half time in Sydney FC's home match against Newcastle Jets tomorrow.
Matildas coach Tom Sermanni and team captain Cheryl Salisbury will be among the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup stars introduced to the Sydney Football Stadium crowd during the break in the New South Wales derby.
Like their male counterparts, the Qantas Socceroos, the Matildas exceeded expectations on the biggest stage of all, reaching the knockout phase before losing by the odd goal in five to mighty Brazil.
Sydney FC marquee player Juninho is set to make his comeback in the match, against a Newcastle Jets side featuring another ex-Selecao star, Mario Jardel.
Sydney FC coach Branko Culina has named Juninho, who has missed the club's last three games after hurting his right shoulder against Adelaide United at the beginning of the month, in a 19-man squad for the match from which he will leave out four players.
"We've had a pretty ordinary start at home so it's about time that we started winning," said Culina.
"If we can just reproduce the performance of last week, where it was a real gutsy performance, then I think we should go into this game feeling confident."
