Wolves manager Mick McCarthy insists he is under no pressure from club owner Steve Morgan despite his side propping up the Barclays Premier League table.
McCarthy saw Wolves slide into 20th position after being beaten 2-1 at home by fellow strugglers Wigan on Boxing Day.
Now they face a testing clash with Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow evening.
But McCarthy is adamant he retains the backing of Morgan and Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey.
He said: "Am I feeling the pressure at all? It is always the same from outside.
"I don't worry about that at all because I have a good relationship with everyone at the club.
"A huge amount of faith and trust has been placed in me - and by me in them (Morgan and Moxey).
"That doesn't concern me at all. I just carry on and keep trying to get results.
"We are all concerned about it, of course we are. No-one is happy with the position we are in.
"But to start worrying about things I can't do anything about....that is not the case.
"I don't think I have any need to worry about that."
McCarthy has been linked with a move for Tottenham's former Wolves player, striker Robbie Keane, during the January transfer window.
But he admits being in the bottom three may have a negative effect when it comes to trying to attract players.
He said: "No-one has said what money we have got. I've always said if there are players available that we want and can attract and can get, then funds will be made available.
"It's been made even harder by the fact we are in the bottom three.
"Had we beaten Wigan on Sunday and we find ourselves out of the bottom three, we might be more of an attraction to someone to come to the club.
"It is not just as easy as saying 'we we want that player, we will go and get him.'
"Whoever it is, might not be available, might not want to come etc."
Regarding Keane, McCarthy said: "He is a fabulous player but I go back to the same thing 'is he available, would he want to come to us, can we afford the deal, is it attractive?'
"Robbie has been a top player and whether a relegation scrap at Wolves is something he would fancy, I don't know.
"There are a lot of factors that need to be looked at."
What McCarthy would dearly like is the return of key performers, skipper Karl Henry, striker Kevin Doyle, and defender Jody Craddock, who are all sidelined through injury.
He said: "I would love to have my first-choice central defender, first- choice midfielder and first-choice centre-forward back. That would help.
"It would not hurt the squad if I could get those players back first and foremost.
"It would be like having new players. It's an old cliche but it would be great to have them back."
McCarthy will have to keep faith with the 18 players on duty against the Latics.
In addition to Doyle, Henry and Craddock, he will again be without Steve Mouyokolo and Michael Mancienne through injury.
But winger Kevin Jarvis and striker Steven Fletcher are in contention to start after only being fit enough to be on the bench against Wigan because of a knee injury and illness respectively.
