BEIJING Olyroo Trent McClenahan has left English Championship strugglers Scunthorpe United after his short-term contract with the Iron expired this week.
McClenahan, 25, joined Scunthorpe in August on a free transfer from Scottish Premier League club Hamilton Academical but failed to make an impact at Glanford Park.
The Sydney-born defender was a regular in Scunthorpe matchday squads but only made one first-team appearance for the Iron.
Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough opted to let McClenahan leave the club this week after discussions between the club, player and his agent.
