AUSTRALIAN defender Trent McClenahan's future at English Championship club Scunthorpe United remains unclear with his short-term deal at Glanford Park set to expire this week.
The 25-year-old Beijing Olyroo joined the Irons on a short-term six-month deal last August but has struggled to break into the first-team, making just one appearance this campaign.
McClenahan's existing contract at Glanford Park is set to expire on Thursday, so talks are underway between the player, his agent and Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough.
The Australian had spent two seasons in Scotland's Premier League with Hamilton Academical prior to moving to Scunthorpe.
