Reading manager Brian McDermott has dismissed suggestions of a bust-up with Danny Guthrie.
The former Newcastle midfielder has featured four times for the Royals in the Premier League this season, but failed to even make the squad for Saturday's 3-3 draw with Fulham.
However, McDermott has denied the 25-year-old was left out due to an ongoing disagreement with his manager.
"There's no bust-up," he told the Reading Post.
"He wasn't selected to play for the game. So, I don't know where the reports are coming from. Danny was training yesterday.
"I try to have a conversation with the players that are not involved and I did have a conversation with him."
The 51-year-old went on to insist that his players are fully supportive of each other, even when left out of the matchday squad.
"If players are not in the side at this football club, they support the players that are in the side - that's what's got to happen," he added.
"You get paid to play when you're selected, and when you're not selected, support the players that are playing.
"That's what we've had over a long, long period of time. That's the culture of this football club."
