SOCCEROO Scott McDonald is set to return to action for Middlesbrough after missing Australia's games against Thailand and Saudi Arabia due to a hamstring injury.
The 28-year-old forward suffered a hamstring strain against Birmingham City on August 21, forcing him onto the sidelines during the international week.
However, Boro coach Mark Proctor told the club's website he is ready to return for Saturday's Championship clash against Burnley.
"Hopefully Scott will be back at the weekend," Proctor said.
"He started training with the group again on Tuesday so he's hopefully come through that fine and that will help us massively on Saturday."
