It appears Scott McDonald may not be playing in the A-League this season after admitting talks have stalled.
McDonald, 33, was widely tipped to make a move to Australia this off-season, with Western Sydney Wanderers among the favourites for his signature.
However, the former Socceroo revealed in an interview with BBC Scotland that a transfer to Australia was not looking likely at this stage.
"Things have changed a little in terms of the Australia (move) in that it has not turned into what I exactly want," McDonald told BBC Scotland.
"I think everyone thought I'd made my mind up and pretty much I'm open to all offers."
McDonald is a free agent after ending his second spell at Motherwell at the end of the 2016/17 season.
He has spent most of the last 13 years playing in Scotland, in-between stints at Middlesbrough and Millwall in England.
The former Celtic forward added: "It was well documented at the end of the season that I was maybe looking to go home.
"Things haven't gone the way I would have liked in that area at the minute, so that's still ongoing.
"You get a couple of crazy ones (offers) here and there abroad. Locally, I haven't looked into it too much as yet."
