FANS have been given an open invite to watch the Socceroos training in Melbourne this afternoon (Friday) with the chance to meet your heroes.
The FFA have thrown open the doors for the full training session featuring all the Socceroos ahead of the blockbuster match against world number two ranked team Argentina.
Coach Graham Arnold will be putting the players through their football paces at MC Labour Park (Princes Park) on Friday 7 September from 4.00pm.
There will be a special celebrity penalty shoot out where up to $10,000 could be raised for CanTeen, the Australian Organisation for Young People Living with Cancer.
Socceroos sponsor Qantas is proud to support CanTeen and give a group of young Australians living with cancer the opportunity to experience this open training session, meet the players and receive tickets to the match on 11 September.
“The Socceroos have received enormous support from the fans in Melbourne and we are excited to be able to welcome them and give them a unique insight into how the team prepares,” said Head Coach Graham Arnold.
“It will also be a unique chance for Melbourne to welcome back its international heroes in Vincenzo Grella and Mark Bresciano among others."
As well as seeing the players in action, the first 50 people who enter via Gate 1 holding a match ticket for the clash with Argentina will also get the chance to participate in a special autograph session at the end of training.
All fans can enter the stadium from 3.30pm onwards via Gate 1 at MC Labour Park. All are welcome.
Tickets are on sale for the match which will be played at the MCG on 11 September from all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com.au or on 13 61 00.
