The outstanding work of Daniel Arzani was the main highlight of the match as he assisted Bruno Fornaroli in the opener that separated the two sides at the break.

Captain Michael Jakobsen extended City's lead with a thunderous header from Luke Brattan's excellent delivery. 

City's superb passing led to a third goal through Stefan Mauk. 

With no shots on target, the Wanderers lacked any spark and were totally outclassed by the hosts.

Dean Bouzanis (GK) - 6

Wasn't troubled much at all by Western Sydney. 

Nathaniel Atkinson - 7.5

Solid passing and was a threat with his runs. Beautiful run on the counter-attack in the lead up to their first goal. 

Michael Jakobsen - 8

Good, desperate interventions to limit the Wanderers chances. Beautiful header to double City's lead.

Bart Schenkeveld - 6.5

Good anticipation and read the play well to intercept the ball and make good runs.

Scott Jamieson - 6

Delivered some great crosses, especially in the first-half. Was pretty solid. 

Oliver Bozanic - 6

Great cross in to cause Janjetovic's spill. Great diagonal run, just couldn't connect for his chance.

Luke Brattan - 7

Looked confident on the ball and made some good passes. Excellent delivery into the box to assist Jakobsen. 

Dario Vidosic - 7.5 

His charging runs down the wing were one of the focal points to City's attack. Supported his teammates and put good balls into the area. Had a few headed chances on goal. 

Daniel Arzani - 9.5 

As always, his pace was scary as he was able to breeze past Thwaite on a few occasions. How he drew defenders in close and cut back to a teammate was superb. 

Glided past WSW defence with ease, to send in excellent crosses and was rewarded with an assist. Was simply outstanding. 

Bruno Fornaroli - 8.5

Looked lively early, drawing free-kicks and had a few headed chances. Great finish for the opener and a wonderful assist to his name for the night. 

Stefan Mauk - 7

Had a chance in front of goal but couldn't capitalise. Some poor passing and gave the ball away in a good position but also had a few better moments.

Fantastic finish to get onto the scoresheet and add to his sides lead.

Western Sydney Wanderers

Vedran Janjetovic (GK) - 4.5

Lucky to not concede after spilling the ball. Was kept on his toes by Arzani and Vidosic before Fornaroli eventually got the better of him.

The second-half wasn't any better although City could have been up by more if it wasn't for some good saves.

Keanu Baccus - 4

Was quite out of depth in what is normally Josh Risdon's position, but picked up a little early in the second-half.

Brendan Hamill - 6 

Mostly good defending, had trouble containing Arzani.

Whipped in a header only just wide of the post. Poor defending for Hamill in the second, also. 

Michael Thwaite - 6.5 

Desperate defending and good positional play. Cleared the danger for Janjetovic, one of which was off the line. Was always on guard, despite having trouble with Arzani's speed. 

Got caught out on the counter in the first half and had a poor second. 

Raul Llorente - 6

Looked to get into advanced areas and join in on attack. Delivered some decent balls in but nothing was made out of them.

Alvaro Cejudo - 3

Great ball in from the short corner for Riera's chance. Didn't do much else to help his side, ultimately lacking the creativity Marcelo Carrusca could have provided. 

Roly Bonevacia - 5

Worked hard but couldn't come up with anything special. 

Steven Lustica - 5.5 

Great link-up with Ikonomidis. Good defending to deny Fornaroli

Chris Ikonomidis - 6.5

Great link-up with Lustica. Great, inventive passes. Didn't have an overly special game.

Oriol Riera - 3

Best chance for his side with a header just over the bar. Didn't produce anything else which would be disappointing for Wanderers fans.
