BRADFORD City’s Australian left back James Meredith could be out for the next eight weeks after breaking his foot in training.
The League One defender, who joined the Bantams in 2012, broke a bone in his right foot this week. Meredith is seeing a specialist this week to learn how long his recovery will be.
“Hopefully I’ll only be out for six to eight weeks, we will see,” he said. “”I just rolled on it in training, I thought I had taken a knock and it just got sorer and sorer.
"I thought I had rolled my ankle at first.”
Meredith has been in electric form for Bradford City over the past two seasons, helping the club secure promotion to League One and also attracting the attention of Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou.
The defender originally moved to Derby County as a teenager in 2004. The 25-year old has been a regular in the Bantams XI this season, making 24 league appearances and three in cup competitions.
