It is expected superstars Neymar Jnr and Lionel Messi will turn up on the Friday night at the MCG with the game officially a sell-out as of Saturday.

The Brazilian stars are set to meet the Socceroos on the following Tuesday.

Australia will finish up with their crucial World Cup Qualifier against Saudi Arabia in Adelaide on June 8 and will fly to Melbourne for the friendly. There are still tickets available but are selling fast.

Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou believes the game will be important for preparations before flying to Russia for the 2017 Confederations Cup.

“The clash with Brazil in Melbourne will be a fantastic occasion for Australian football and Socceroos fans as we take on one of the world’s best teams,” Postecoglou said.

“Following the World Cup Qualifier against Saudi Arabia this clash with Brazil will be a great opportunity to test ourselves against world class opposition before we head to the Confederations Cup.”
