The Barcelona winger has joined up with the national team ahead of their tour of North America where they will play Mexico and the United States as preparation for the resumption of their World Cup campaign.

Messi is, however, already looking ahead to the Albicelestes' tie with Brazil on June 18 and has urged his team-mates to win back some lost pride following their defeat to the Selecao in last year's Copa America final in Venezuela.

Despite cruising through the earlier stages of the tournament, Argentina lost the final 3-0 to their fiercest rivals - the same margin of defeat they suffered in a friendly in London in 2006.

"We must beat Brazil. It's time for that day to arrive. They have beaten us undeservedly twice already," said Messi.

Argentina currently lie second in the South American World Cup qualification table, a point behind leaders Paraguay and a point better off than Brazil.

Alfio Basile's side will play Ecuador on June 15 to resume their qualification campaign before their much-anticipated meeting with Brazil.
