Riley McGree's sensational scorpion kick in last season's A-League campaign has earned him a finalist spot for the FIFA Goal of the Year.
The 19-year-old finds himself in elite company with the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale also in the running for the Puskas Award.
Newcastle Jets stormed into the 2018 A-League Grand Final thanks in part to McGree's world class equaliser.

A 2-1 win over Melbourne City - who McGree now plays for - completed the remarkable turnaround for the 2016/17 wooden spooners.
"Definitely a bit of fluke," McGree said of the goal that went global, became an instant social media hit and was declared the greatest A-League goal to date. "It'll sink it in when he's watching it on the news.
