LEO Messi stars in a dazzling new video celebrating the philosophy of beautiful football with the Argentine superstar set to play for the first time in his own signature boots against Real Madrid this weekend.
You know you're special when you get your own boot from adidas!
And after his record breaking year in 2012, Messi now gets his own signature adizero f50 boot – and even the box they come in is special.
These boots will be worn for the first time this weekend as Messi's Barca take on Real Madrid in La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu.
That’s right, they were designed for his fast feet and his fast feet alone - no other professional footballer will wear them.
However these stunning boots are on-sale now for amateur players ahead of the new winter season in Australia.
Over a two year period, Messi helped adidas designers come up with the design for the adizero f50, touted as one of the lightest and fastest boots on the market weighing in at just 165g.
To go with this unique new boot, a cool video extolling the values and philosophy of the ‘beautiful game’ has been released calling on players to "play the messi way" with strong messaging around players staying on their feet and playing the game with respect for opponents and officials.

The design is intended to reflect Messi’s footballing philosophy and includes the Messi signature logo that was unveiled in 2012.
The boot colour scheme is a mix of red and white – red being Messi’s favourite colour and picked to represent the danger he poses on the pitch as well as his burning desire for the game. The clean white frame of the boot was chosen to symbolise lightness, with speed-inspired graphics demonstrating his pace.
A single red stud on the sole plate in amongst 10 white studs represents Messi alongside his teammates and how he sees himself as being only as strong as the team around him.
Andreas Konrads, Senior Product Manager, adidas Football said it was a big challenge but a very exciting honour.
“To have your own product line is almost like joining the ‘adidas Hall of Fame’ and it is an acknowledgment reserved for our best assets. Icon Ranges are designed to connect the athlete to the consumer and bring them closer together; and in this case with Leo, I believe we have achieved this. We’ll continue to work closely with Leo and develop more insights into his personality and playing style. Each time we meet up with him more creative sparks ignite and ideas come to life. We will continue to push boundaries to remain at the forefront, just like Leo.”
The boot will is available in Australia at Rebel from this weekend. For further information visit adidas.com/football or go to facebook.com/adidasfootball or @adidasfootball and @teammessi on twitter to join the conversation.
