Adrian Mierzejewski, Sydney FC's star playmaker, is headed to China for an A-League record transfer fee of $1.3 million, according to reports.
The Polish Wizard signed a three-year-deal with the Sky Blues in 2017 and was a key figure in the club's 2017/18 premiership win.
According to The World Game the move to the Chinese Super League is "virtually" a done deal. It is understood the Johnny Warren medallist is headed to Changchun Yatai FC.
Last month Mierzejewski posted a cryptic tweet suggesting all was not well at Moore Park.
Another week passed and i am even more dissapointed instead of beeing closer to solve situation. If someone is interested...on 9th of July i am in Sydney ready to tell whole true story. As an adults shouldn't we respect our promises?

With Golden Boot winner Bobo expected to seal a move to Turkey, and influential Dutch centre back Jordy Buijs released to return home, new coach Steve Corica faces a monumental task to rebuild the key pillars of Graham Arnold's record-breaking squad. Milos Ninkovic may be the last man standing of Arnold's impressive imports.
Meanwhile, Bobo is understood to be headed to Turkish Super Lig side Alanyaspor. The Sydney FC hitman, who struck 27 goals in a barnstorming campaign last season, only renewed his contract as one of the club's marquee players last month.
However, the 33 year-old Brazilian is reported to now favour a return to Turkey, where he has spent eight years of his career to date, including a five year spell at Istanbul giants Besiktas between 2006 and 2011.
