AC MILAN coach Carlo Ancelotti believes Andriy Shevchenko's form will improve now that the veteran striker has regained full fitness.
The Ukrainian forward returned to the Rossoneri in the summer from Chelsea and has made just two starts in Serie A.
Ancelotti, speaking from Dubai where his team are training, said: "I have seen Shevchenko's athletic condition improve a lot.
"I believe Sheva will have an important role for us in the second half of the season.
"The first half of the campaign has not been easy for him but now he has succeeded in getting to the same level of fitness as the rest of his teammates."
Milan, who are third in the standings, travel to the Eternal City on Sunday to meet Roma in their first Serie A match of the season.
