AC Milan have completed the transfer of Italy international Gianluca Zambrotta from Barcelona, according to the Italian club's website.
The Rossoneri confirmed a deal had been struck with both the player and the Spaniards on Saturday evening, allowing the player to concentrate on his job for Italy at Euro 2008 knowing he will be returning to Serie A next season.
Zambrotta previously wore the black and white of Milan's rivals Juventus for seven years in Serie A before moving to Spain two years ago.
He won the Scudetto twice for the Bianconeri as well as the World Cup for Italy in 2006, immediately before moving to the Blaugrana, where he won the domestic Super Cup.
