AC Milan playmaker Kaka has admitted his Italian employers could stop him from playing for Brazil at this summer's Olympic Games.
The midfielder has admitted that one of his ambitions is to play at the Beijing Games and win a gold medal.
However, his hopes of joining playing in China could be jeopardised by Milan's bid to reach next season's Champions League.
Carlo Ancelotti's side are currently fifth in the Serie A table, four points behind Fiorentina who hold the final Champions League berth with five games to play.
Should the Rossoneri overhaul their rivals and claim a place in the third preliminary round of qualification for next season's Champions League, the first-leg of those matches will clash with the Olympic tournament.
The tournament in Beijing is due to begin on August 6 with the final set for August 23.
The first leg of the third preliminary round is scheduled for the dates of August 12-13, although Kaka would be available for the return leg which is scheduled for August 26-27.
"For the time being there are some problems between Milan and the Brazil Football Federation and I don't want to get in the middle," Kaka said.
The Olympic football tournament is restricted to under-23 teams but each one can field up to three over age players.
Brazil have won the World Cup a record five times but have never won the Olympic soccer tournament.
And Kaka revealed Brazil failure so far at the Olympic Games was his motivation to win gold.
"To compete at the Olympics and to be able to win a title that it's still missing in Brazilian football is a great motivation," he said.
"If we won the title, it would allow me to become a part of history because I would win something other compatriots have not won."
