AC Milan have warned Chelsea they have no intention of selling Brazil striker Alexandre Pato.
Reports in England claim that Chelsea are preparing a bid of 60million euros to lure Pato to Stamford Bridge.
However, AC Milan club administrator Adriano Galliani believes the Blues would be wasting their time as they recently turned down a "monster" offer made by an English club for Pato.
Galliani said: "We previously received a superior offer to this one (60million euros) and we already said no to that, so the answer would be no."
Milan are keen to keep Pato at the San Siro having sold Kaka to Real Madrid this month.
Pato finished as Milan's second stop scorer behind his compatriot in Serie A, with 15 goals in 36 league appearances last season.
He is under contract with the Rossoneri outfit until June 2012.
Meanwhile, Galliani has given Wolfsburg an additional week to enter into negotiations for Edin Dzeko before Milan turn their attention to other candidates.
The Bosnia Herzegovina international is Milan's top summer target.
Dzeko has shown an interest in joining the Italian giants but Wolfsburg are reluctant to sell the player who was the top scorer in last season's Bundesliga.
"We will wait until the end of this week and we will see what happens," said Galliani. "If things stay the same, then we will change our target."
Galliani revealed last week that Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano and Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor would be good alternatives if they fail to lure Dzeko to the San Siro.
However, the agent of Luis Fabiano has not received any official interest from the Rossoneri.
"I have not had any contact with AC Milan," said Jose Fuentes.
"I've read what's been written in the press but for the time being, no-one has gotten in touch with me."
Luis Fabiano, 28, won the Confederations Cup with Brazil yesterday and finished as the tournament's top scorer with five goals.
"His buy-out clause is set at 30million euros," said Fuentes. "But considering the current financial crisis, Sevilla would likely negotiate this fee.
"But Fabiano is of the quality level of (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic, (David) Villa, Adebayor and others.
"He is at the level of the best strikers in the world and that is why Milan should consider him."
