It was all about the win for Alex Brosque on Saturday night as Sydney FC's milestone man captained the Sky Blues back to the top of the table with a 2-1 win over the Newcastle Jets.
Brosque became Sydney's most capped player with 179 appearances, overtaking club legend Terry McFlynn, but the 34-year-old was more keen to talk about the three points at Allianz.
The reigning Champions were stunned 2-0 by Central Coast Mariners last week, but back on home turf showed why they're favourites to go back-to-back after an impressive first half display.
Brosque told Fox Sports post match that it wasn't the milestone that was uppermost in his mind in the top of the table clash.

"To be honest it was about getting back to winning ways this week," he said. "We lost in a very disappointing way last week and I think we went away from a lot of things we’ve doing well.
"The milestone’s great but to be honest it’s about rebounding and bouncing back from the loss last week, which we did.
"At times I thought if we had a little bit more quality we could have grabbed a couple (more) but I think that’s been the story of our season so far. We’ve threatened to pull away from teams but just haven’t had the quality in the right moments.
"The most important was the win and we’ll now turn our focus to Tuesday night with a big (FFA Cup) final coming up.
Sydney looked good for their lead in the first half but were given a much harder test in the second as the Jets, sans injured striker Roy O'Donovan, continued to take it to the Sky Blues.
Goals to Milos Ninkovic (5') and Bobo (59') had the Sky Blues sitting pretty before Dimi Petratos dragged one back against his former club (65') to set nerves on edge among the home crowd.
Intermittent downpours and reduced visibility made for treacherous conditiions as both goalkeepers coughed up a goal.
Congratulations to Graham Arnold who becomes just the second #ALeague coach to record 100 wins!

It was a huge night for the home side on a number of fronts - Alex Brosque's milestone, the team's 20th straight unbeaten game at home, and coach Graham Arnold's 100th A-League win.
And if Brosque has his way they'll be celebrating the Premiership-Championship double for the second straight year.
"That’s what I’m here for this year – absolutely", he said.
"I think we’ve got the quality, most of the team back from last year so I think we can. We started well. A hiccup last week but look the quality is there but I think we can go again and I want to be part of it."
Sydney fans were handed free Brosque beard masks to celebrate the captain's milestone moment and the Sky Blues talisman made it clear the facial hair is here to stay, for the time being at least.
"Well it brought me a bit of luck last year so it’s staying," he said.
