Derby striker Kenny Miller admits he is resigned to be being part of team relegated from the Premier League for the second time in his career.
The Scotland international, who was part of this week's training camp with new national team manager and former Derby boss George Burley, was at Wolves when the Black Country side slipped out of the top flight in 2004.
Like Derby this season, Wolves spent much of the campaign rooted to the bottom of the table.
Wanderers eventually went down with 33 points - a total Derby can only dream of at the moment. County currently have nine points with 13 matches remaining.
Ahead of tomorrow's visit of Tottenham, Miller said: "Everybody has written us off and it does look like we will be relegated.
"It is something I have experienced before. The starts to the two season were pretty similar, but Wolves only just went down whereas we have a lot of work to do. There are some similarities to be drawn between the two."
He added: "But it doesn't affect the way we approach games. We have tried our best in every game and done all we can, and we will continue to do that for the remaining 13 games to try and get as many points as possible."
Miller believes the experience of playing in the Premier League will stand Derby in good stead in their bid to bounce back at the first attempt, should the club be relegated.
"It might be something that actually works in our favour," he said.
"The last thing all the players want is to be playing Championship football next season after experiencing a taste of playing at this level. It is something that you don't want to give up.
"But if we go down and it takes a year to come back up to experience it again, then that is what it takes."
Jewell has mounting defensive problems.
Claude Davis is set to have surgery on a persistent knee injury and could miss the rest of the season, while Darren Moore and Andy Todd are doubts with hamstring problems.
Davis joins an ever-growing list of injured defenders that already includes Tyrone Mears (shin), Jay McEveley (knee) and Danny Mills (knee).
New signing Mile Sterjovski could be involved after finally being granted a work permit but Hossam Ghaly, who is on loan from Spurs, is ineligible tomorrow.
Midfielders Stephen Pearson and David Jones resumed training this week and are included in the squad.
