FIT-again Charlie Miller is anxious for a second crack at Melbourne Victory as the Scotsman vows to let his feet do the talking against the current champions.
The Scot is back in training following a frustrating layoff which he said felt more like five months than five weeks but he conceded the time off may have been for the best as he struggled to overcome a long-term groin niggle.
"It's been a long time coming but obviously I had my suspension against Melbourne the last time and then I had a niggling groin injury that's been irritating me for the last six months," Miller said.
"So I thought I may as well just take my time and make sure I'm properly fit to get back in the team again. So hopefully that's the end of my injuries now."
Miller's return to fitness is more good news for the club after Henrique and Michael Zullo came through Roar's midweek youth match unscathed.
Henrique lasted an hour and is expected to be available against Victory, while Zullo, who played the first half, is more likely to turn out for Roar Youth on Sunday before returning to the A-League.
With the team coming off the back of crucial win in Adelaide two weeks ago, Miller said he couldn't expect to walk straight back into the starting line-up without a fight.
"I would love 90 (minutes) but it's up to the gaffer," he said. "He picks the team.
"The boys got a great result last match. Reinaldo and Sergio (van Dijk) played really well up front and the midfield boys did well so if I start it'll be great but if I don't start and I'm the bench so be it.
"But I'll be fighting to play 100 per cent and I'll let my feet do the talking."
The 11 players coach Ange Postecoglou puts on the park on Saturday night will face a big test, with Melbourne Victory looking to bounce back from a humiliating 4-0 home defeat against Central Coast Mariners last round.
However, with Roar lifting themselves towards the top six with good results in the past two outings, Miller said there was plenty of confidence about the camp.
"We still feel we're one of the top three or four teams in the league," he added.
"Hopefully we're back in form now and we can go the right way. But Melbourne lost 4-0 last game so they'll be wanting to win this match as well."
