Melbourne Victory star Mark Milligan has secured a lucrative return to the Middle East.
Fairfax Media reports the deal with Saudi Arabia powerhouse, Al-Ahli, was finalised today with Victory picking up a $1million transfer for the 32-year-old Socceroo.
The Jeddah-based outfit finished second in the Saudi Pro League in 2016-17 and will compete in Group A of the upcoming AFC Champions League (ACL) tournament.
According to the report, Victory were reluctant to lose the veteran, with the club’s own ACL campaign kicking off next month.
Milligan left Victory for Baniyas SC in 2015 and returned to the Big V last year but has been the subject of rumoured move abroad for months.
