Socceroo Mark Milligan was sent off for dissent overnight as his UAE club Bani Yas moved closer to relegation with a 6-2 loss to Al Wahda in the Arabian Gulf League overnight.
Milligan was given a yellow card on 20 minutes and then earned a second booking moments later for dissent.
The red card came with Bani Yas already 4-0 down, with Milligan’s frustration boiling over.
The result leaves Bani Yas bottom of the table with just 11 points from 21 games, six points from safety with five games to play.
Milligan joined Bani Yas on a two-year deal in June 2015.
He is out of contract in June and was linked with a European move in December.
