Socceroo Mark Milligan has sensationally been sent off in less than 10 minutes as Bani Yas suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Al Ittihad Kalba in the UAE League Cup on Thursday.
Milligan, who put in two strong displays for Australia in World Cup qualifying earlier this month including as captain in UAE, had started the Group B clash in central midfield.
The Australian was booked after only six minutes and then received a second yellow card barely three minutes later to earn his marching orders.
From there it was always an uphill task for Bani Yas who are now bottom of their group.
The 31-year-old had featured in both of Bani Yas' league games so far this term.
Milligan's side are next in action in the League Cup against Al Ahli on Wednesday night.
