Socceroo Mark Milligan came close to scoring twice as they lost 1-0 away to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Friday night.
Gary Mackay-Steven scored the game's only goal in the 40th minute after pouncing on a defensive mistake from Ryan Porteous.
Milligan, wearing the Hibs' captain's armband, almost opened the scoring earlier when he got forward from a free-kick but his header was goalbound header was cleared by an Aberdeen defender.
In the second half after Mackay-Steven's goal, Milligan headed over from a Stephen Mallan's corner, where he arguably should've hit the target.
Milligan also came close to setting up Florian Kamberi who rounded the Aberdeen keeper but blazed over with Socceroo Jamie Maclaren waiting inside the box.
Milligan and Martin Boyle both played the full 90 minutes, while Maclaren was replaced after 79 minutes.
