Glory will start their campaign away on October 8 at Spotless Stadium.

Mills is currently sidelined with a partial tear of his MCL, after picking up the injury in the club's FFA Cup 1-0 defeat to Heidelberg City at the start of August.

"It was done in a tackle in the game," the defender told FourFourTwo.

"I managed to see the game out, it just carried on being a bit sore. Afterwards I went for a scan and it was a partial tear. I'm probably halfway through the rehab so I should be back, hopefully, two to three weeks before the season starts.

"Pre-season's been a bit more challenging not being able to be out with the lads every day. But hopefully I'll up and fit and ready to go when the season kicks off."

Mills joined Perth last year from Oldham Athletic. The Englishman made 22 appearances in his debut campaign in the A-League.

Originally from Swindon, Mills started his football career in the academies of Aston Villa and Southampton. He has spent time at the likes of Scunthorpe United, Doncaster Rovers, Reading, Burnley and Shrewsbury Town, and also represented England at Under-17 and Under-18 level.

Glory were stunned in the FFA Cup's round of 32 by Victorian NPL side Heidelberg. The Bergers have gone on to reach the quarter-finals, where they will take on Adelaide United next month.

Mills insisted Perth went into the Cup tie in a "good frame of mind".

"It's disappointing to go out - nobody wants to," he said.

"We went there in a good frame of mind of winning the game. Unfortunately it didn't happen. It's always tough for A-League teams to go straight into that with only a few weeks of properly training together.

"[But] we knew what we needed to do and unfortunately we didn't get the job done. But it was a good learning experience for some of the players coming into it. And obviously we can take what we need to from the game.

"We've been working hard on the training pitch to correct some of the mistakes, getting a bit more of the team ethic that we'll use in the season."
