To see the Olyroos training at Bluetongue Stadium...

"There's been some talk of David Carney. How true I'm really not sure but we'd welcome them with open arms, especially the likes of a Harry Kewell or even a [Mark] Schwarzer," Milligan said after training at Bluetongue Stadium, Central Coast.

While coach Graham Arnold is keeping his options open regarding his over-age selections, he does concede the attacking third is one area he'd look at.

"I know he is only going to bring boys in who fit straight into the team, keep the harmony and enhance our ability on and off the pitch," said the currently club-less Milligan.

The ex-Sydney defender described the Olyroo camp on the Central Coast as having a "buzz' with impending final selection for the squad giving the sessions extra zing.

And the 22-year-old stressed his priority was the Olympics and his on-going issue of finding a club "would be left to my agent".

As for his well-publicised trip to Arsenal and Manchester City recently, Milligan revealed: "I enjoyed my time over there, it was a massive learning experience.

"And hopefully something will come of it in one way or another.

"I spoke to him [Arsene Wenger] a few times. He was very friendly. Unfortunately I didn't have as much time over there as I'd like."

Milligan added Spain would be another country he'd look at for his new club but with a non-Euro passport "...that makes it difficult".

He admitted that not having a club "does play on your mind" but said coming into camp with the Olyroos was the perfect antidote for that, saying: "It clears my head."

In Olyroo team news, Adelaide United's Robert Cornthwaite sat out training tonight after rolling his ankle yesterday. He told au.fourfourtwo.com that he expects to be fit for next week's two-game series against Chile U/23.

And Newcastle Jet Tarek Elrich and Sydney FC's Mark Bridge also sat out training. Instead, they did light stretching away from the group.

Brondby striker David Williams also left training early with badly blistered feet. And Glory striker Nikita Rukyvystya did not train at all after picking up a bug yesterday.
