Sporting Kansas City maintained their unbeaten start to the MLS season with a 3-1 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday.
Aurelien Collin and Kei Kamara netted to go with a Martin Bonjour own goal as Kansas City recorded their seventh straight win.
Peter Vermes' side are 11 points clear of the New York Red Bulls, who have a game in hand, in the Eastern Conference, while the Whitecaps are seventh in the Western Conference.
Collin opened the scoring in the 24th minute at BC Place Stadium, sliding in at the back post to tap in after a goalmouth scramble.
They were gifted their second seven minutes after the break, when Bonjour diverted a long throw from Matt Besler into his own net.
Kamara made it 3-0 when he flicked in a Chance Myers cross, before Sebastien Le Toux headed in a consolation goal for the Whitecaps on 80 minutes.
In the day's other game, DC United and Montreal Impact played out a 1-1 draw at RFK Stadium.
A long-range strike from United's Maicon Santos cancelled out Bernardo Corradi's 68th-minute headed opener.
United are third in the Eastern Conference, while the Impact are eighth with just one win from eight matches.
